I seriously can't believe in six hours it'll be the years 2010! This year went by so fast, as did this decade. Where did it go? I feel like it was yesterday I was bopping my head to the Backstreet Boys or Smashmouth. Even though there were fun times, 2009 fell short for me. Lots happened, I learned a lot, I lost a lot, and I grew. Here's to hoping 2010 will be better.

Back from MD/VA, and two pounds heavier. SO not in the mood for school tomorrow, I've got so much work due this week that I haven't started :( Anywayyyyy I've been spending the last half hour looking at these pictures taken by Sam Taylor-Wood of male actors crying. I would've never thought to photograph these men that resonate such power and prestige crying. It shows an entirely different side to their personalities. I love it. Here are a few of my favorites.

Packing now for a Thanksgiving in DC. All I can say is there's gonna be lots of babies! haha it should be fun, I just miss having Thanksgiving at my house. Haven't had one at my house in five years, at least! I'll be back by Sunday morning, with five million pictures of cute babies! :)

Last Night

The Devendra concert was so good!! I've been to the venue twice before, its like a lucky venue I always have the best stories. The first time I went there was in Spring of 06, I saw Bright EyesSECOND ROW. They were amazing, Conor Oberst was like totally smashed but it was awesome. And the random celeb sighting for that concert was Liam Aiken. He was sitting right behind me haha.

So the second time I went was I think not too long ago, maybe like 10 mths ago? I saw Adam Green in concert. Although I only went to see Laura Marling open for him, he wasnt so bad. He was really funny. The celeb sighting for that concert was WARIS!!! (aka token indian guy from every wes anderson film ever!) and Agyness Deyn. Who I used to love, but now hate bc she was such a little attention whore. She came in with her little british posse and was like yo I'm agyness deyn I'm the shit. And no one cared. It was awesome.

And of course the last time I went was last night. Fabrizio Moretti from The Strokes has a band called Little Joy, they opened. They were really great, I liked them a lot. I'd heard a few songs of theirs before, but you can really tell how talented they are live. They sounded amazing. Random celeb sighting for last night, was Adam Green himself. TOTALLY IRONIC being that he was who we went to see last time. HA I had totally elbow rubbing action with him, it was sick.

ps: random weird coincidental fact --> agyness deyn, who I spotted when I went to see adam green, was dating albert hammond jr. (member of the strokes, and long time friend of fabrizio moretti..DUH) when we saw her. WEIRD HUH? everythings secretly connected!

Last night was little P's birthday. (Well, technically not so little anymore.) We celebrated at the restaurant called "Amber" in the city. The food was so good! And so were the crumbs cupcakes. (Don't hate me it was my first time having a crumbs cupcake) Anywayyyyyy, love you perrilla! Happy 17th! halloween was so fun this year! watched stupid scary movies, scared the shit out of some people, and basically loaded up on all the candy we could get our hands on. my bffr perri blogged thispicture and i HAD to re-blog it bc its such gold. she was a cute little bunny, and i was ... something. i was telling people i was a homeless lumberjack. dont think a lot of people bought it though..whatever enjoy this lovely picture with my friends creeping the background :)

Just got back from the gym. I was expecting to not have been able to lift like any weights, being that I hadn't gone in two weeks! But, to my surprise, I was just as fit as I was when I stopped going. I love those days when you're feeling like shit but you know all you need is a shower. Haha that sounds so weird, but its so true for me today. I know when I jump out of the shower I'm gonna feel refreshed and energized to do some work, then get rest.....for the Met tomorrow! YAY!

US Open

Went to the open last night, it was great! It was actually the first time I've ever been to the open on opening night. I usually go the last few days bc there's a better chance you'll see someone totally awesome like Roger Federer or Rafael Nadal (aka my lover) I saw the match between Venus Williams and some russian chick. And after I saw Andy Roddick vs. Bjorn Phau. I have to admit, I was rooting for Bjorn. For some reason, I just can't stand Roddick. There's something about him.... anyway, it was a fun night. Can't wait for

Star Struck!

OH MY GOD!

I happened to be strolling around Washington Square Park today....(my favorite park in NYC btw) when I experienced the BEST THING EVER. So I'm nonchalantly walking around with my like vintage 35 mm taking photos of random awesome things in the park when i see this guy sitting on a bench (pretty well dressed) looking at me. Right when I'm about to turn away, I notice DANNY FUCKING V is sitting next to him like caressing his shoulder. Mind you, at this moment in time I'm still walking, but I'm also like staring down Danny V just trying to make sure its him. So yes. It was Danny V and his boyfriend just chilling in the park. I walked past them like a million times trying to get a photo but it was so hard not to be awkward! So imma just have to develop the photos and see if i get a little sliver of Danny V's head in a picture.

So then, I'm in the car still in that general area just driving around. We get to a red light, and BILL FUCKING HADER crosses the street like an inch from our car. I then began to start screaming his name...too bad the windows were up haha. But yeah, today was a very productive day.

Ahhh its been a while. I got back from visiting family in D.C. a few days ago. So today, after the gym I made a quick stop at our local Duane Reade and got the absolute BEST MOUSSE ! I had tried it at my bffr Perri's house, and it looked awesome so I finally bought it and AHH I LOVE IT SO MUCH! It makes my hair like beautiful. It really works miracles. Anyway, I've got so much to do before classes start again, but I'm never in the mood haha. I have no idea how I'm gonna do this :/

AHH I saw Jason Mraz last night at the Jones Beach Theater. He was absolutely amazing live! K'naan (who was sooo good) and G. Love & Special Sauce opened for him too. The best part was when Jason asked everyone to turn around and give someone sitting next to you (who you don't know) a high five, and talk to them. I ended up making friends with the guy next to me. Jason Mraz has a weird way of bringing people together. Of course my friend kept asking me to stop talking to him during the concert haha. All in all, it was a really fun night! I've been really grumpy all day today, mostly because I'm dying for these awesome vintage shoes that are a total bargain, but I can't get them. So a while ago I went to the grocery store, and heard the oddest and funniest conversation between two employees. One chubby guy says sarcastically, "Wow, what a great job I have in a supermarket." While he's packing pickles. The second guy says, "What? Would you rather be working with the losers in the meat department?" The first guy doesn't answer. And the second guy goes, "That's what I thought, so suck it up." I couldn't help but smile, who knew working in the meat department was a downgrade?

There's nothing I hate more than awkward greetings. You know when you do the whole hand dance and inside you're thinking is this person hug-worthy? kisskiss-worthy? or maybe just a simple handshake would do? OH GOSH i hate it. I read the book My Sister's Keeper a few years ago, and was brought to tears by the end. But, I saw the movie a few days ago, and I'm really unimpressed. It was good, and being the sensitive little girl I am, I cried, but the wrong person died. Haha i was so confused, but whatever. It is what it is. I did though discover a really great cover of Girls Just Wanna Have Fun by Cyndi Lauper. I love the original, but this cover's really pretty. I've been listening to it on repeat forever! Here's the song, I recorded it. Yeah, I know I'm a dork.
